Starting A New Chapter

Well Here We Are, The Start of a New Chapter for Me.

The last 5 years of my life have been one hell of a roller-coaster ride with MANY ups as well as downs. (sorry if some of you are now bored seeing these photos, but it’s been a big deal for me).

My Graduation Group Napier University

What a day we had, I wasn’t even going to go! I was nervous, felt sick, didn’t want to dress up! I am so glad I did go; I had an absolute blast with some of the best people I have had the pleasure of knowing! and well … I scrubbed up not too bad either.

What A Day!!

People have been asking me since I finished the degree “so what now?” “are you going to get a proper job now?” “have you started looking for work?” … well the whole point in getting the degree, the reason I set out to do it in the first place, was so I could say “I got it!” and NOW I HAVE!

So What Next?

I have been a youth worker for the last 12/13 years and although there are many difficult times, ultimately I still love working with my groups. As my hours have fallen over the last couple of years, I decided this year that, whilst I was in the fortunate position of living with my folks, I would maintain the couple of days work with my young people, but my focus would be Paperama®.

Life is too short to be unhappy right?

I love Paperama®! I never thought 3 years ago I would be sitting here with a successful business doing something that I love. I am so lucky to be able to say that. I have an opportunity here to really go for it; so guess what? That’s what I’m going to do and I’m hoping you will stick around and come on this journey with me.

I’m hoping that over the next few months I will be able to get myself and Paperama® going in the right direction. Since starting out I have had the pleasure of meeting / engaging with some wonderful people both customers and other business folks. I hope to build on those relationships and make new ones along the way.

I have so many ideas, going right back to when I first started, I’d like to make time to make these ideas realities. I’d love to hear from you too, what kind of things would you like to see, what are some of your favourite pieces? Maybe you’d like to look at doing some work together, I’d love to hear from you. That goes for newsletter and blog content too. If you have ideas or questions you’d like answered, please drop me a comment below, a message or email. I have a few ideas but I’d like to know the type of things you’d be interested in reading.

I appreciate every one of the interactions with Paperama® I say it a lot but I mean it whole heartedly! Thank you.

So with hope in my heart and a smile on my face I start the next chapter of my life and I leave you with these 3 Mini Smile Makers. They not only make me smile, but I think they sum up how I feel at this point in time.
